Four methods of making tie-dye T-shirts
There have been many popular trends in t-shirts in recent years, and the category of tie-dye t-shirts is a popular one. If you have such products in your brand, then you must know that tie-dye is colorful and the pattern is not fixed. But do you know how tie-dye T-shirts are dyed to different effects? We have compiled the following 4 common ways of making different patterns.
1. Striped effect
Place the T-shirt flat on the table. Start from the bottom and roll it upwards, all the way to the neckline, so that you end up with a long, tube-like roll of the t-shirt. Then tie it up with thread or a leather band and dye the T-shirt.
2. Spiral pattern
This is one of the most basic and popular patterns in the tie-dye technique. To create a spiral pattern on a T-shirt, first lay the T-shirt flat on a workbench or table. Then, place your thumb and index finger on the center of the T-shirt and start rotating it in one direction to make the T-shirt turn around the center point. The shape of the bundle should be roughly circular and needs to be crossed to create a shape similar to a cut pizza, and then finally dye.
3. Polka dot pattern
Pinch out several small sections on the T-shirt and tie a small piece of string to the end of each piece of fabric. To create small polka dots, leave 1.5 to 2.5 cm beyond the tied-up section. If you want large polka dots, tie the fabric up in more sections so that more of the fabric will be pinned up and bulging out.
4. Irregular pattern
If you want to create a wrinkled effect on your T-shirt, the easiest way is to randomly wrinkle it in the way you like. It should be made messy and wrinkled, not neatly rolled or folded up anymore. Then, take as many leather straps as you want and just tie them up. You can create a certain pattern, but the most "frilly" look should be without any rules or patterns.
